FAQs

Granola

We sweeten our granola the natural way with raw honey and sometimes a touch of fruit. At Sweet Nonna, we’re all about real food made with real ingredients—so we rely on the natural sweetness of honey, which also adds minerals and antioxidants you won’t get from processed sugars.

Absolutely. In fact, many people tell us they prefer the subtle, balanced sweetness of our granola. It’s gently sweet and just enough to keep you coming back for more.

Oats are naturally gluten free, and for that reason we do not use certified gluten free oats.

Yes, Lemon Blueberry, which is one of our top sellers is made without nuts.

Our granola has a date located on the bag, and we recommend storing it in a cool, dry place to help maintain its freshness. We also suggest storing your granola in the fridge. And once you open the bag make sure to reseal it tightly or transfer the granola to an airtight container. This will prevent oxygen from causing the granola to become stale.

Cookies

Yes! Our cookies are all gluten free.

Yes! Our cookies are all dairy free.

Our cookies are shipped via UPS or USPS Priority to arrive within 2 to 3 days to maximize freshness. Orders received after 9 p.m. Tuesday evening (EST) may not ship until the following Monday to avoid your cookies sitting over the weekend with the shipping carrier. Also, we do not ship cookies to P.O. Boxes.

You’ll probably eat them all before you have to worry with that. But, just in case, the cookies freeze well or can be placed in the fridge to keep them fresh longer.

Honey

Raw honey is honey in its most natural form—unpasteurized and unfiltered. That means it retains all the natural enzymes, antioxidants, and nutrients that are often lost in processing. We use raw honey because it’s how nature intended: pure, rich, and full of goodness. It not only adds a touch of natural sweetness to our granola but also brings a depth of flavor you can truly taste.

Yes! We have bee hives, and we’ve partnered with a beekeeper just down the road. As a result, the raw, unfiltered honey used in our granola and baked goods are from bees foraging in our community. It’s a great way to support local agriculture and keep things close to home.

Pasteurization involves heating honey to high temperatures, which can strip away many of the beneficial properties. We believe in keeping things as close to nature as possible, so we stick with raw honey to preserve its natural benefits.
